Hijacking refers to the act of unlawfully taking control of a vehicle, aircraft, or other means of transportation, usually by force or threats. In a broader context, it can also include taking control of an organization, system, or process. The unlawful takeover of an aircraft by individuals or groups often involves threats or violence. This type of hijacking is also known as “aircraft hijacking.” For example, the September 11, 2001 attacks involved the hijacking of several commercial airliners.
